Pharmacy Tuition and Fees

The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy assesses tuition and fees primarily based on your residency status, program and enrollment. Use the calculator below to estimate your costs as a KU Pharmacy student.

The calculator assumes 18 credit hours per year (9 each semester), but you can adjust hours to see how costs change.

Remember, tuition and fees cover only charges paid to KU. Be sure to budget for housing, food, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. See estimates at financialaid.ku.edu/estimated-cost-attendance

Description of tuition and fee costs

Lawrence campus required fees

Required student fees are $287.10 per semester, for full-time students. All other students pay a prorated rate of $46.47 per credit hour.

Required wellness fees are $245.40 per semester, for students taking three or more credit hours.

Students at the Lawrence campus are assessed an infrastructure fee of $3.00 per credit hour.

Beginning in Fall 2023, the university will no longer offer the Pharm D. Compact Tuition Rate to incoming Pharmacy students. Students in a current Pharm D. Tuition Compacts (Fall 2020, Fall 2021, and Fall 2022 entering classes) will continue in their compact and will see no tuition increase. Starting in Fall 2023, New Pharm D. students, both resident and non-resident, will be assessed at the per credit hour Pharmacy standard tuition rate (previously included in the tuition compact).

The fixed-rate, guaranteed tuition for the four-year PharmD program includes 100% of all tuition and fee related charges: tuition, technology fee, course fees, and student fees.

Online fees

Online courses are billed at a flat rate, per credit hour, which includes all fees.
