Graduate Tuition and Fees
KU graduate tuition and fees depend on three main factors: residency, campus, and school. Use the calculator below to estimate costs.
The calculator assumes 18 credit hours per year (9 each semester), but you can adjust hours to see how costs change. Most graduate students take classes within a single school, so select your school to include any course fees.
Online students and certain Edwards Campus students pay a flat tuition rate with no extra fees, the same for in-state and out-of-state. Choose your program and credit hours to see this estimate.
Remember, tuition and fees cover only charges paid to KU. Be sure to budget for housing, food, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. See Estimated Cost of Attendance for more information.

Lawrence campus required fees
Required student fees for undergraduates are $287.10 per semester, for full-time students. All other undergraduate students pay a prorated rate of $46.47 per credit hour.
Required wellness fees for undergraduates are $245.40 per semester, for students taking three or more credit hours.
Online fees
Online courses are billed at a flat rate, per credit hour, which includes all fees.
