The University of Kansas School of Law assesses tuition and fees primarily based on your residency status, program, and enrollment. Use the calculator below to estimate your costs as a KU Law student.

Description of tuition and fee costs
Lawrence campus required fees
Students entering the Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) degree programs pay $5000.00 per semester (fall/spring only) in addition to the Law School course fee.
Required student fees are $287.10 per semester, for full-time students. All other students pay a prorated rate of $46.47 per credit hour.
Required wellness fees are $245.40 per semester, for students taking three or more credit hours.
Students at the Lawrence campus are assessed an infrastructure fee of $3.00 per credit hour.
Online fees
Online courses are billed at a flat rate, per credit hour, which includes all fees.
