Financial Aid Programs
The University of Kansas Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) administers many federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. You can review these programs at a glance above or obtain more detailed information about each program below.
Grant Programs
A grant is a type of financial aid that is generally not repaid and whose source could be through federal, state, or university funds. Grants are typically awarded to students with financial need. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year by the March 1st KU priority date to be considered for limited funded need-based grant programs.
Work-Study Programs
Work-study is a type of financial aid that is designed to promote part-time employment of financially eligible student to help avoid excessive debt while in school. If you are awarded work-study funds, you are responsible for finding your own job and meeting hiring requirements. To search on-campus job postings, visit https://jobs.ku.edu. Student and Parent Loan Programs
A loan is a type of financial aid that generally requires repayment. Loans can be need-based on non-need-based, so financial need may not be required for some loan programs. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year by the March 1st KU priority date to be considered for limited funded low-interest loan programs.
